Fall Plaid with Target Style: Play By the Rules or Break the Rules!

Now that it’s officially Fall, you’ll be seeing me in plaid like it’s nobody’s business. I just love using plaid printed items as statement pieces to really jazz up a simple outfit.  So imagine my excitement when I heard how plaid is taking over Target today! Plaid has such a rich style history. It is an iconic pattern that is still meaningful in fashion today. I am so excited to share two looks with you that are inspired by plaid. 

My first look is a little more preppy and classic. I chose to style this plaid button-down shirt with a cognac leather pencil skirt and blue heeled ankle booties. 

My second look is loosely inspired by punk fashion. I wore an olive plaid duster over a black T-shirt and belted it with a camel skinny belt to complement my camel oxford heels. 

Both of these looks are comfortable and make me feel confident.
