Now that it’s officially Fall, you’ll be seeing me in plaid like it’s nobody’s business. I just love using plaid printed items as statement pieces to really jazz up a simple outfit. So imagine my excitement when I heard how plaid is taking over Target today! From stylish home goods to must-have fashion items, Target has partnered with Adam Lippes to bring you over 350 items!
Plaid has such a rich style history. It is an iconic pattern that is still meaningful in fashion today. I am so excited to share two looks with you that are inspired by plaid.
My first look is a little more preppy and classic. I chose to style this plaid button-down shirt with a cognac leather pencil skirt and blue heeled ankle booties.
[ :: Plaid shirt (Similar) :: Leather skirt (oxblood, similar) :: Ankle booties (similar) :: Leopard clutch (similar) :: Fossil watch (similar) :: Gold earrings (similar) :: lipstick (similar) :: ]
My second look is loosely inspired by punk fashion. I wore an olive plaid duster over a black T-shirt and belted it with a camel skinny belt to complement my camel oxford heels.
[ :: Plaid duster :: Tan skinny belt (similar) :: Heeled oxfords (similar) :: Black tee (similar) :: lipstick (similar) :: Tory Burch tote bag (similar) :: ]
Both of these looks are comfortable and make me feel confident.
Which of these two looks is your favorite? I want to know what your plaid style is! Share your plaid story and tag me @ChiomasEOS on twitter and @Csevolutionofstyle on instagram and use the #targetstyle hashtag to share!
