Chunky Crochet Cardigan + Konmari Method

Happy Tuesday Loves and to my Illustrious Sorors of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Happy Founders’ Day! Today we are going to talk about this gorgeous Yellow Chunky Crochet Cardigan + Konmari Method. I love how this look came together beautifully, it wasn’t one that I had to give much thought to. It’s just ME from head to toe. The chunky crochet cardigan is in my favorite color, it’s eye catching and incredibly soft and I’m wearing some super soft worn in distressed jeans with brogues. When it’s above 60 degrees with sun, you can pretty much catch me in a look that’s similar.

So hubby and I started the new Netflix show, Tidying up with Marie Kondo and it’s been pretty powerful. We’ve only watched the first three episodes so far but I’m so transfixed with Marie and her gentle calming spirit and the approach she takes to keeping and purging items in your home. The thing that really stood out to me was how she showed each family examples and then quietly left them to do it on their own. A lot of shows similar to hers, show a team coming into the home and doing the work themselves. The Konmari method seems more transformational in the that each family is learning how to do this for themselves and in this case, that’s the best way to really embrace a new lifestyle rather than a gift of someone doing it for you.

My best friend called me yesterday morning and told me all the changes she’s made and all the purging she’s doing and I went home and completely overhauled my kitchen cabinets, next up is the pantry! Hubby is on board too and I can’t wait to see how our home and lifestyle transforms!
