The Red Chunky Knit Sweater

Happy Wednesday loves! I’ve missed you but I’m back, with a new outfit just for you! 😉 First off, how was your weekend? Ours was lovely, we did some cleaning, completed some projects around the house, and relaxed and had a date night. Sunday, we spent the day with family celebrating our cousin’s birthday. It was just the kind of weekend our hearts needed. For the longest time, I’ve lived for the chunky knit sweater. They’re not only cozy and beautifully made, but when worn in a bright color or print, can be a statement piece. I may or may not already own too many of these but I recently donated a few and felt perfectly justified in snagging this red chunky knit sweater on sale. We had a quick break in the Winter weather where we all thought Spring was upon us. Boy were we wrong. Unfortunately, it seems Winter is still here and has more to say. We even had a snow day Monday here in Lexington, so I brought this beautiful red chunky knit sweater out to play!

I styled this look with my distressed boyfriend jeans, crisp white Converse, a cute leather backpack purse, and fun pops of gold jewelry. This kind of look is perfect for a Sunday spent exploring your city, checking out a local bookstore, or a coffee/lunch date. I live for looks like these that are cozy and chic with no effort.

In addition to getting rid of old sweaters, I’ve been doing the same with jeans. Do you find yourself with a stack of jeans but you only wear 3-4 of them at any given time? No? Just me? lol. Anyway, I recently donated several pairs of jeans that had lost its fit, shape, or just wasn’t my style anymore.

High waisted jeans

I’ve been wanting to try out some high waisted jeans for a while now and I’m ready to add some of these to my wardrobe in the very near future. Good American is a new denim line that offers styles for every size and body type. I’ve been very mindful of what brands I support, I want to support body inclusive brands with great quality. What styles of jeans are you interested in this season? I love how high waisted jeans are flattering on every body type and Good American has a variety of cuts and washes.
