Stylish Eye-wear with Coastal

Happy Tuesday Loves! If any of you knew me as a child, you know I wore glasses until the eighth grade and I hated them!  I rocked a thick pair of coke bottle frames that were turquoise and then I “upgraded” to a pair of thin metal frames that were red. In the eighth grade, I went and had an eye exam and was told I had 20/20 vision and took that a sign to quit wearing glasses and never looked back. (Crazy, right?)

Fast forward to last fall, I landed a new job and had two computer monitors to stare at for 8 hours and the headaches came rolling in. After about two weeks, I went and had an eye exam and found out it was my eyes that were causing the headaches. My optometrist said my eyes were fatigued from reading and staring at screens (computers, phone, iPad, and TV) all day long, that I had an astigmatism and that he recommended I get contacts or glasses and handed me a prescription.

I panicked momentarily on my way home thinking back to my younger days and how ugly I felt in glasses. But then I went home, and began doing what any girl in my shoes would do, I searched Pinterest and Google for cute glasses options! I mean, if I’m going to start wearing glasses for the majority of my day, then you better believe I’m going to get some fabulous ones! My husband, sister, and friends all made their recommendations of sites that they use but I landed on Coastal’s  site and could not handle the wide variety of stylish eye-wear they offered in all price ranges.

I immediately fell in love with the cat eye shape and gold finish and loved the fit on me once I received it. At this point, gold is basically a neutral in my book. It literally complements every outfit I put on and it jazzes up my face when I decide not to wear makeup.
