I dream of never being called strong again.
I want support.
I want love.
I want understanding.For the girls like me, who have had their worlds painfully turned upside down and then told to be strong or that they’re admired for their strength. *Sigh* You are seen here and you don’t have to be strong.I hope you find the safe, soft spaces to call home, the family and friends to listen to your tears and fears and pray for you, and to be comforted in softness rather than tough love. And I pray you don’t have to ask for support over and over.The deep pain from losing my love, my husband, still takes my breath away and I miss him terribly. I miss our love, our life, our dreams, our beautiful world we created. Everything.I will continue allow myself to grieve and mourn in MY way. And in MY time. I will continue to talk to God. I will allow myself to be soft. I will continue to ask for help and accept it. And somedays I will do absolutely nothing and cry and lay in bed all day. Some days, I’ll go to a spa, every week I will go to therapy. And other days, I will escape and run straight into the ocean.#griefjourney #grievingprocess

What are you fighting for? | Because we are ALL fighting for something. The beautiful and brave children that go to @stjude with their families, are fighting for healthy childhoods, and futures. They don’t deserve illnesses or stress. They deserve to be as carefree as possible.This is where St. Jude comes in with their fight. The fight to make sure “no child dies in the dawn of their life”- Danny Thomas, founder St. Jude. Everyone at St. Jude is fighting. They are fighting with extensive research to cure sickle cell anemia and cancer diseases in children. Both affecting Black and Brown communities more than any others. They are fighting to keep the costs of clinical trials low and cost of treatment, travel, meals, and medications nonexistent to patients and their families.St. Jude has been fighting since 1962, to bring the childhood cancer survivor rate from 20% to 80% And they won’t stop fighting until no child dies from cancer.For me, in all transparency, I’m fighting to live and figure out this next step of my journey. Fighting to find peace and joy through deep grief and mourning over the loss of my husband and love of my life. I didn’t know what to expect from this weekend, but I can tell you what I didn’t expect, was to become inspired, and energized by so many beautiful and incredible people and to leave with beautiful new friendships and memories. 🥹💕The intention behind each session to how we were educated and entertained, to the wonderful group of content creators/podcasters/media professionals, that I was placed with, doesn’t go unnoticed. I’m so grateful and honored to have been invited to my first St. Jude Celebration of Hope and I can’t wait to see yall again next year. 🥰🖤🫶🏾🤍 I have a goal of raising $500 for @stjude in the next 30 days. I’ve met some of the dopest creatives, we’ve all become besties and are all here learning more about @stjude and the important work of making sure “No Child Should Die in the Dawn of Life”, to share with our online communities.St. Jude patients travel from all over the world for excellent treatment and care and don’t have to worry about a bill for treatment lodging or travel. Their families can focus on taking care of their children and themselves.The love, care, and community are embedded in the culture here. My entire heart and world crashed around me since

My entire heart and world crashed around me since the love of my life and my husband Jonah Brown went to be with the Lord on 8/3.
I love and miss him so deeply. I don’t know what my life will look like moving forward. I don’t know much of anything honestly. I’ve been with this man and loved him since I was 19.I know my husband is in peace in heaven. But I’m fighting for my peace here on this side and I haven’t found it yet yall. Fighting to stay afloat. I wake up daily with a hollow deep pain in my heart and body from missing him and his presence in my life. That man loved me DEEP and WELL with all of his heart and soul and I loved him the same way. He protected and provided for me. He was such a gentleman and a romantic and never missed a chance to show me how much he loved me. His love and intention for me is STILL evident even now.My heart breaks even while knowing he’s in heaven with God in his new body and he doesn’t have to deal with sickness or anymore pain. It gives me some semblance of peace but i want my husband here with me doing life with me like we have for almost 20 years together and like we made a covenant before God to do until we were old.Thank you Jesus, for my family, my sisters, my therapist, and my church community who have continued to intimately hold me up through all of this indescribable pain and grief. They pray for me and love me and feed me and wipe away my tears and listen to my fears, and show up for me and hug me and pray with me and encourage me and keep my shaky and broken spirit going.Thank you to everyone who has checked on me in my absence here. So many of you know of and have been a part our love story over the years and I am so thankful. Thank you for your love and for seeing us.Lastly, I ask for privacy and grace and prayers for myself and our family during this time as I try and work through this deep painful unfathomable loss and figure out what my life will now look like. I hope to come back here to share some of this new uncharted chapter in my life and the healing process, but please be patient and know it will take time. My focus is healing and grieving right now.
