Teddy Bear Coat + Hair Scarf

Dear Teddy Bear Coat, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to wear you and love on you for just a little bit longer. We had a milder winter this year, and I’m not complaining, but it would have been nice to have your warm and fuzziness wrapped around me a few more times. Don’t worry, as early as October,  I’ll welcome you back into my life with open arms. But until then, we will always have this very special moment together.

Seriously, as much as we are all enjoying spring and are anticipating summer, did anyone miss having a real winter? In KY, we had one of the mildest winters I’ve ever experienced and I feel like some of my favorite boots, scarves, and coats went unworn and unloved.

The teddy bear coat was super popular this fall and winter and while I’m not one to run after every little trend, once I saw this one up close, and could imagine various ways to style it, I knew I had to have it. In this look, I styled my teddy bear coat in a classic way, with an oatmeal sweater, skinny jeans, and boots. The teddy bear coat is the star of this look and I wanted to make sure it stayed that way without adding competing colors and accessories. I’ve been loving the hair scarf trend for a while now and decided to tie a patterned one around my twists and wear bright red lipstick for a subtle pop of color.
